Lisbon has been elected Europe’s Leading City Break Destination for the second year running in the World Travel Awards (WTA) – the world’s most prestigious tourism awards.
Lisbon won the WTA’s Europe’s Leading City Break Destination section from a shortlist of 10 cities - ahead of London, Madrid, Paris, Prague, Rome, Venice, Istanbul, Oslo and Tallinn.
Lisbon’s victory in this section of the World Travel Awards, dubbed the “Tourism Oscars”, is the result of an online vote - at www.worldtravelawards.com - by thousands of tourism professionals at the world level.
